Life drawing lesson 6

This was a 30 minute drawing and I found it very hard because I prefer quick drawings, I drew her head a bit on the large side but other than that I like how it turned out.

These 4 images where when we had to draw 2 poses with 2 different types of media at the same time and then swap hands. I find it very strange how my left handed one turned out better considering i'm right handed.

3 minute Sketches (my best ones to date)

Pencil drawing where we had to concentrate on tones and not outlines, I found it quite hard but I like how it turned out (30 minutes)

Life drawing lesson 5

We had to completely cover out page with Charcoal and then rub away at it with a rubber, this was to make us focus on the lighting over the shading and outlines.

I love the way the back looks

We were told to use a different media so I went with pen and I think it turned out really well and I am immensely proud of it, especially because I couldn't erase and It still came out neat looking.

Another one where we had to draw the model as he moved, this one was harder than last time because this model walked faster.

3 minute sketches

Life drawing lesson 4

This one was a collab between me and another student, he drew the yellow lines and I shaded with charcoal.

We were told to use a media that we haven't used before, I chose Pencil and Ink.
The Ink was quite difficult to control and the pencil was hard to shade and get different tones.

We had to draw the model as he slowly walked around the room, I found this quite fun, I especially like how the front view one came out because of the way the legs are shaped.

Action poses~ These are my favorites.

Lava Creature

I decided to start drawing straight onto Photoshop to see if I could come up with any ideas and I ended up liking all of them and couldn't pick a favorite.

The first creature has hardened lava forming on top of its molten center giving an appearance of a cloak, it would move similar to a slug as it has no limbs.

The second one is going onto the more over sized mass of rock emerging from lava with a very distorted mouth and a compact rock body (most lava comes out of its mouth, with a few bits seeping out of the cracks every so often)

and the last one has more of a skeletal appearance with one large eye in the center of its head. ( love the hands on this one)

and today I found out that rocks are surprisingly hard to draw when using a program you aren't used to.
I took may favorite one and edited it to add the parts I liked about the other two to it and then tried to redraw it but from the front (it was difficult, but im really happy with how it turned out)

Lava

Today's lesson was Lava which can be a fairly difficult thing to draw but it becomes fairly easy when using a preset layer style that basically does it all for you, the picture above was my first attempt.

After getting to grips with how lava works we then where given a rock/clay guy to draw on to make him look like he was oozing lava, I like how mine came out even though the lava isn't exactly pouring out of him, I like the idea of it just poking out.

Pixel art

To start we had to actually under stand how to draw pixel art in asymmetric so we started easy with squares and circles and then turning them into boxes and cylinders (the boxes proved very helpful when making the tricycle as it helped me keep in in line.

Then we had to create a pixel toy that could be placed in an asymmetric scene, I decided to do a doll but I ended up finishing it quickly so I also did a tricycle.

I really like how they turned out considering both toys I made both had no straight lines and therefore were quite difficult to make. I also think they look natural in the scene.

Futuristic gun

I have never really drawn a gun so this is going to be interesting....

I decided that it would be better if I first got to grips on how to draw an ordinary gun before I go on to drawing a futuristic one, and I think for a first attempt this pistol came out quite well.
These are my rough sketches, I honestly have no idea how to design a gun but I think that these look good, I especially like the first one and the last one
I silhouetted my gun ideas and the first one is defiantly my favorite because its a small gun so it doesnt look too stong but it can pack a punch, also if you run out of ammo you always have the option to just stab your opponents with the spikes.
Considering I have never drawn a proper gun before I think this came out well, even though it looks less futuristic and more supernatural aka it kind of looks like it has skin and claws, you never know maybe in the future they figure out a way to make living guns that can be grown,
I love how the Grip came out
